Hannah Sunito (b.23rd March,1996) is a young emerging Australian artist with Autism. Graduating from the forward-thinking and respected Presbyterian Ladies College in Sydney in 2014, Hannah developed her interest in fine arts at an early age. She began her art studies focussing on drawing and painting in 2015, working closely with her art teacher, Niki Koeppl, a Sydney based, Australian Artist. Since then, Hannah has developed fine artistic skills in her art practice since beginning her painting journey, exploring various techniques and media.
Her studies are focussed predominantly on flora and fauna, portraiture and landscapes. In Hannah's earlier work she began creating manga style character artworks using real life animals and cosplay actors as her reference. She has gained the confidence to create her own artworks independently at home with the technical skills she has learnt.
Hannah and her teacher, Niki were collaboratively involved to produce a painting at the Uni 2 Beyond program charity function event as part of Sydney University and the Centre for Disability studies. (CDS) Hannah painted the artwork in front of 45+ people where she then successfully sold her artworks at an open auction to the value of $5000. This included the completed artwork painted during the function plus additional works previously painted with Niki's assistance and support.
Hannah is following a path to further study in the arts. She is also currently working on a new series of Abstract paintings and will be working towards exhibiting in future art shows in the near future.
